A solvents based cleaning fluid is suitable, among others, for the hand and machine removal, of paints, varnishes and most adhesive residues. The fluid contains (all wt.%-s): 25-50 propylene-glycol-mono-alkyl-ether 15 ethyl- and/or propylene-glycol-ether-acetate 15-40 8-10C aromatic hydrocarbon mixt.; as base solvents, and: 0.05-5.00 n-butyl-accetate and/or cyclohexanine and/or 4 hydroxy-4-methyl-2-pentanione as auxiliary solvents 0.05-100 di-chloro-methane and/or 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone as soln. promoting agents. 0.05-3.00 perfluoro-alkyl-ethanol as a surfactant. The components of the cleansing flluid act synergistically for the removal of contaminants from tools, machine pts., etc., without having may or any of the drawbacks of conventional solvent systems. |
