PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knockdown case for electrical apparatus which can be disassembled in a compact state for storage and transport, and can be extremely easily and speedily assembled for use. SOLUTION: This knockdown case is provided with corner pillars 1 which are placed in the four corners of a rectangular case, four side plates 4 in total constituting a surrounding wall of the case, a bottom plate 3 and a top plate 4 of the case, an engaging means for engaging both ends of each side plate 2 placed on each corner pillar 1, a fixing means which fixes the four corners of the bottom plate 3 and the top plate 4 on the corner pillars 1 for fixing the engaged state and the assembled state of the case. Engaging grooves 5, in which both ends of the side plates 2 are fitted, are provided on the sides of the corner pillars 1 as the engaging means. Also, the bottom and top of the corner pillars 1 are provided with parts 6 and 7 of a lower level, in which the four corners of the bottom plate 3 and the top plate 4 are fitted and with screws 10 for assembly for fixing the four corners to the corner pillars 1.
