PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device introducing an intermediate transfer system by which blurring and peeling discharge at a transfer position are suppressed, without making the device large in size and without increasing the cost. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an intermediate transfer drum 20 as an intermediate transfer body, the drum 20 is provided with a conductive elastic layer 24 formed on the surface, conductive drum base material 21 on which a transfer bias is applied, and a semiconductive flexible film member 22 which is made in a contact or non contact state with the surface of the conductive elastic layer 24 of the conductive drum base material 21, and also, which is cylindrically held so that the rotational center of the member 22 be the same as that of the drum base material 21, and to which the toner image is transferred. As for the intermediate transfer drum 20, the flexible film member 22 comes into press contact with the conductive elastic layer 24 at a primary transfer position where the drum 20 comes into contact with the photoreceptor drum 11, then, the drum 20 is energized, and a transfer electric field is formed almost only at the transfer nip part.
