Provided is an apparatus for dispensing a measured portion of liquid, such as a medicament, from a container 6 with an opening comprises a measuring chamber 1 including an inlet connected to the opening of container 6, a cap means 2 including a dispensing outlet 3 and is rotatably attached to measuring chamber 1, an engagement means 11 attached to the underside of the cap means 2, a fill level means 4 adapted to be rotatably attached to engagement means 11 such that a rotation of cap means 2 will result in an axial displacement of the fill level means 4, wherein in use the measuring chamber 1 is adapted to be filled with a liquid from container 6, followed by a volume of the liquid equal to the measured portion being restrained from flowing back into container 6 by fill level means 4, whereby the measured portion is free to be dispensed from dispensing outlet 3.
