Use of bis-1,2,4-triazoles for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of cancers

1,3-bis-triazolyl-2-propanol derivative of formula (I) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, metal complexes, ethers or esters thereof is used in the manufacture of a medicament for treating cancer. In formula (I) R1 is substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, haloaryl or aralkyl. A unit dosage composition comprising 400 mg/kg of a 1,3-bis-triazolyl-2-propanol derivative of formula (I) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, metal complexes, ethers or esters thereof wherein R1 is substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, haloaryl or aralkyl is disclosed.
