PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assuredly purge air in the pilot type solenoid valve arranged in a hot water supply pipeline for a bath of a hot water supply device which solves a problem that when an air reservoir remains in a back pressure chamber, a water hammer phenomenon is generated in a hot water supply circuit side to compress the air reservoir and move a diaphragm, water leaks. SOLUTION: According to a control method for a hot water supply device, an air purging mode in which a pilot type solenoid valve 50 is repeatedly opened and closed is provided upon supply of hot water. Thus, an air reservoir remaining in the back pressure chamber C of the pilot type solenoid valve 50 is gradually exhausted from a pilot hole 509 by opening and closing a diaphragm 506 and removed or only an extremely small amount of air remains. Therefore, even when a water hammer phenomenon is generated in a hot water supply circuit side, the disphragm 506 is not moved. Accordingy, water is not discharged to a bathtub against the intention of a user. |
