<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of a transmission signal to be outputted from a limiter in comparison with a conventional machine and to reduce power consumption of a CDMA transmitter having the limiter for outputting a CDMA spreading signal after limiting an amplitude value thereof lower than a prescribed maximum amplitude value. SOLUTION: In the limiter, a distributing means distributes spreading signals S1 (I) and S1 (Q), a comparing means 2 compares an amplitude value A of the spreading signal with a maximum amplitude value Ath, amplitude value converting means 3-5 convert the amplitude value of one distributed signal lower than the maximum amplitude value and when the amplitude value of the spreading signal is greater than the maximum amplitude value, a selecting means 8 selects the distributed signals as transmission signals S2 (I) and S2 (Q). In the opposite case, the other distributed signals are outputted as transmission signals. As another configuration, in the above opposite case, a sleep means halts all or one part of amplitude value converting processing so that power consumption can be reduced.</p> |
