PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape reel assembly provided with a hub ring constructed so as to be suitable to be engaged with a storage tape. SOLUTION: This assembly is provided with 1st and 2nd flanges and the hub ring. The 1st flange is provided with a 1st plate and at least one loop member extending from the inner face of an upper plate with a radius R1 in an almost axial direction. The 2nd flange is provided with a 2nd plate and at least one leg part extending from the inner face of a lower plate in an almost axial direction. The leg part is arranged so as to be selectively engaged with the loop member. The hub ring is separately provided, and there is no material that crosses the inner diameter of the hub ring to extend. The hub ring further demarcates an outer winding surface and an inner surface having a minim radius R2. The hub ring is assembled between the 1st and 2nd plates.
