PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a post-exposure transporting section from exerting unnecessary load to cut photographic paper during exposure transportation even if the cut photographic paper progresses to the post-exposure transporting section during exposure. SOLUTION: This image exposure device has first and second exposure transporting roller units as the exposure transporting section 8d for transporting the cut photographic paper 2 cut to meet a print size in a sub-scanning direction, an exposure head 5a arranged between the same and the exposure transporting section 8d and a post-exposure transporting section 8e succeeding the transportation of the cut photographic paper from the exposure transporting section. The post-exposure transporting section comprises the plural post-exposure transporting roller units consisting of drive rollers 91a, 92a and 94a and pressure contact rollers 91b, 92b and 94b displaceable near to and apart from these drive rollers. The pressure contact rollers of the respective post-exposure transporting roller units come into pressurized contact with the cut photographic paper only after the completion of the exposure of the cut photographic paper.
