PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sensitively and simply detect an exogenous endocrine disruptor existing in environment with extremely low concentration. SOLUTION: The detection device is composed of a detection container 1 such as a fine cell that is filled with immobilized female hormone acceptors 2 such as immobilized estrogen acceptors, a light source 3 that excites the inside of the container, and a detector 4 that detects fluorescence intensity in the excited detection container. In the detection device, fluorescence intensity F0 when a female hormone being subjected to fluorescence labeling with certain concentration is introduced into the detection container is compared with fluorescence intensity F1 when the female hormone being subjected to the fluorescence labeling with the same concentration as the F0 where a sample to be tested is mixed is introduced to the detection container. In the case of F1<F0, the detection device judges that an endocrine disruptor exists in the sample to be tested. In the detection method of the endocrine disruptor, the F0 and F1 are measured for comparison, and it is judged that the endocrine disruptor exists in the sample in the case of F1<F0.
