PURPOSE:To improve the contact state between a magnetic head and a medium by applying a chucking hub press contact face for alignment of a medium hub and a magnet fitting face for attraction locking of the medium hub in the assembling state to reduce the quantity of off-track. CONSTITUTION:After each component is assembled, the contact state between a medium 0 and a magnetic head 11 is improved by applying stage (a) differen tial cutting or polish processing to the upper face of the chucking hub 4 and a fitting face of the magnet 9 attracting the medium hub 8 with respect to an X-X plane being a fitting reference face to other device as a spindle motor. The deflection of the medium 10 at rotation is eliminated by eliminating the deflection through the processing with accuracy of more than twice as long as (b) for the outer diameter of the chucking hub 4 against the deflection of the outer diameter of the chucking hub 4, and the deviation of the track position with the magnetic head 11 is minimized to prevent off-track.
