PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform an operation upon large load, efficiently purify air when air is purified and improve maintenance characteristics. SOLUTION: An air conditioner comprises a plurality of flaps 7 for vertically opening and closing inlet ports 2 on the upper part of the front surface of a main body 1 and an air purifying unit 9 having an attaching frame 10 with both ends supported so as to slide forward and backward by a guide rail which is provided in an inside opposed to an air purifying inlet port 8 in the front part of the upper surface of the main body 1. The flaps 7 are connected to the attaching frame 10 by connecting arms. When the flaps 7 open, the air purifying unit 9 is located between the flaps 7 and the main body 1. When the flaps 7 close, the unit 9 is located so as to be opposed to the air purifying inlet port 8 in the front part of the upper surface. |
