PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document preparing method by which the length of a character string inserting part segment is automatically adjusted to a character string length and also the segment is easily made to be horizontal in the plotting of a draw-out line, a line type desired by a user is registered in the plotting of the individual line types, an object generated by the user is registered as a sign to be fetched in the case of editing and a drawing generated by combining a plurality of objects is easily generated. SOLUTION: The document preparing device having a plotting function is provided with a plotting means for designating a draw-out line start point, a character string insertion start point and a direction point for indicating a character string inserting direction on a screen by a mouse and for plotting the draw-out line which is constituted of the segment A connecting the start point to the insertion start point and the segment B connecting the insertion start point and an end point in the direction of the direction point. Besides, the plotting means is constituted so as to automatically decide the length of the segment B in accordance with the length of the character string to be written in the case of plotting. Moreover, the segment B is easily made to be horizontal in the configuration. |
