PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a positive or negative original plate for a planographic printing plate capable of forming an image with high sensitivity by heating or under heat generated by photothermal conversion, not requiring development or the like after image writing, having good sensitivity, superior printing resistance and improved soiling property and capable of direct plate making by the operation of IR laser or the like on the basis of a digital signal. SOLUTION: The original plate for a planographic printing plate has a high molecular compound having a functional group whose hydrophilic or hydrophobic property is varied under heat, an acid or radiation and a lower layer to which the high molecular compound is bonded. The high molecular compound is preferably a straight chain high molecular compound directly bonded to the surface of the lower layer by chemical bonding at an end of the high molecular chain or a straight chain high molecular compound bonded to the surface of the lower layer by chemical bonding at an end of the high molecular chain by way of a stem high molecular compound. |
