PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dramatically efficient manufacturing process, and to obtain satisfactory sticking force and satisfactory electrical connecting property between a commutator segment and a metal segment. SOLUTION: This commutator flat-type commutator in which metal segments having coil connecting terminals are insulated and stuck mutually along at least the periphery of an insulating supporter, and commutator segments are insulated mutually from and stuck to the metal segments, and the brush sliding surfaces of the commutator segments are arranged vertically with respect to the axial direction of a rotor, and at least the upper end surfaces of the metal segments are stuck to the commutator segments.
