PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high quantitative accuracy by highly accurately approximating a concentration-absorbance curve, particularly, a high concentration area in an analytical curve making method and a spectrophotometer. SOLUTION: In an analytical curve making method for making an analytical curve on the basis of the concentration and absorbance obtained by verification, a concentration-absorbance curve is divided into a low concentration area and a high concentration area to be approximated by respectively individual functions. A linear part of the low concentration area is approximated by a first analytical curve expressed by a linear function, and a nonlinear part of the high concentration area is highly accurately approximated by a second analytical curve expressed by a monotonously increasing curve function gradually approaching a specific value in infinity without mathematically having a pole. The first analytical curve and the second analytical curve are made to coincide in a boundary between the low concentration area and the high concentration area, and are continued by imparting the same inclination to smoothly connect a function for approximating the low concentration area and a function for approximating the high concentration area in a boundary part. Thus, the analytical curve is made of the first analytical curve and the second analytical curve.
