摘要 The tread of a pneumatic tire, especially for high performance automobiles, has two main channels (14) around the circumference with an equatorial plane (CL) between them. Two further channels (16) around the circumference flank the center at an axially outer (12B) and axially inner (12C) zone on the axial line of the tire (10). The center channels (14) form a center tread zone (12A) of the tread (12). An axis, with a width of a channel (14,16), is on the inner and outer zones and lies on the axial line of the tire at 30-40% of a half-width of the tread contact with the ground (0.5 Wmax) on the equatorial plane (CL). The main longitudinal grooves are inclined outwards (30) and the main lateral inclined grooves (27,28) open into at least one of the peripheral main grooves (14,16) at one end and into contact with the ground at the other end. The tread (12) has a negative pattern repeat of 45-50% at the center zone (12A), a negative pattern repeat of 40-43% in the neighboring outer zone (12B) at the level of the outer side, and a negative pattern repeat of 40-45% at the adjacent inner zone (12C) at the level of the inner side. The tire (10) is especially for the rear wheels or, at the front wheels where the toe-in is 0.0-0.7 deg and the camber angle is on a negative scale of 0-2 deg . The main longitudinal channels, pitched outwards to the outer side (30), are at an angle ( beta ) of 5-40 deg to the direction around the circumference, and the angle ( beta ) increases progressively from the equatorial plane (CL) towards the edge of the tread at the level of the outer side. The channels angled to the outer side (30) have a width of 5-10 mm, with an increasing or constant width outwards to the level of the outer side. The channels are arranged at the outer zone (12B) so that the flats (33) formed between the main lateral inclined channels (27,28) are divided into three or four flats (33). The width of at least some of the lateral inclined channels (18,20,27,28) increases progressively towards the edge of the tread at the level of the tread edge. The tire tread can have three main longitudinal channels (14,16) around the circumference in the center zone (12A) in contact with the ground. The main lateral inclined channels (18,20,27,29) have a width of 8-11 mm, at intervals in the peripheral direction of 45-52 mm.
