PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caisson type revetment to completely shut off the elusion of polluted water to an open sea over a long time. SOLUTION: In the caisson type revetment having a plurality of continuously arranged caissons 11 constructed on a boundary between a reclaimed ground 20 to reclaim industrial wastes or general wastes and the open sea 22, a plurality of through-holes 9 located below the lowest sea level of the open sea 22 are provided in a side wall on the reclaimed ground 20 side of each caisson 1, a storage tank 7 to store the polluted water flowing into the caisson side from the through-holes 9 is provided inside each caisson 1, and the polluted water flowing into the storage tank 7 is discharged for water treatment.
