PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an electric binder. SOLUTION: A switch box 11 having a built-in micro-switch is connected to the power circuit of an electric binder. A magnet is mounted on the bottom face of the switch box 11, and the same can be placed at any place on the table 8 of the binder. A delay timer circuit is provided in the power circuit, and by using a variable resistor, the time for a motor to start after the micro- switch is turned on is made adjustable. When a bundle of vegetables, etc., is inserted between a tape guide arm 5 and a tape catch part 6 and a switch lever 12 is pressed downward, automatically the motor is started causing the arm guide 5 to move reciprocally one cycle binding the vegetables with an adhesive tape T. By the button 20 of the resistor, timing for starting the motor can be adjusted depending on the expertise of a worker.
