PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting the measuring state of a sphygmomanometer. SOLUTION: The method includes steps from (a) to (e): (a) the step of turning on the working voltage of the sphygmomanometer; (b) the step of proceeding with blood pressure measurement and displaying measured values; (c) the step of selecting a state variable from a variety of preset states according to the state of a subject and displaying the variable; (d) the step of preserving the measured values and the state variable data; and (e) completing operation steps.
