PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method for blowing of auxiliary fuel into a blast furnace, by which pulverized fine coal having the blowing ratio of the pulverized fine coal of >=150 kg/ton of pig iron is stably blown into the blast furnace and the use of expensive coke is restrained as for as possible. SOLUTION: In the blowing operation of the auxiliary fuel into the blast furnace for blowing the auxiliary fuel from an auxiliary fuel blowing tuyere, in which a reduced diameter part having diameter small than the inner diameter of a blow pipe and the inner diameter at the tip part of a tuyere, is formed in the pipe from the vicinity of the connecting part of the blow pipe connected with the tuyere to the tip part of the tuyere, and the position of the tip part of an auxiliary fuel blowing lance is disposed at the tip part side of the tuyere from the reduced diameter part, the pulverized fine coal having >=25% the average value of volatile matter is blown from the auxiliary fuel blowing tuyere.
