PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator capable of reducing the working noise of a brake and minimizing a control circuit of a brake. SOLUTION: The control circuit of a brake comprises an AC power source for braking, a rectification bridge connected to the AC power source for braking to convert the alternate current into the direct current, a brake coil connected to a DC side of the rectification bridge, a contact of a contactor for brake mounted at an AC side of the rectification bridge and a resistor mounted at a DC side of the rectification bridge.
