PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor capable of reducing the noise and saving the space for solving problems on an installation area and the noise in order to install the motor for hoist in a hoistway and provide a machine room-less elevator, as recently it is necessary to solve the problem on the right of light in a machine room of an elevator. SOLUTION: The low speed high torque is provided by using a synchronous motor applying a rare earth magnet in a rotor, which dispenses with a reduction gear. By dispensing with the reduction gear, the low noise can be realized, and the motor can be minimized by mounting a sheave on an output shaft of the motor and mounting a disc brake on an anti-output shaft, which is effective for installing the motor in the hoistway.
