PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building block for intellectual raining contributing to the improvement of intellectual training for the understanding of the conception of number more than before. SOLUTION: This building block for intellectual training is provided with cubic or rectangular solid building blocks bored with one or multiple through holes or unpenetrated hole sections and rod-like members to be inserted into the through holes or the unpenetrated hole sections of the building blocks. The diameter of the rod-like member is made smaller than the diameter of the through hole or the hole section, and the length of the rod-like member is made longer than the depth of the through hole or the hole section.
