PURPOSE: To provide the medium in which certain characters or patterns can easily and satisfactorily be formed on the surface of a protective layer and which is excellent in reproduction and function for protecting the recorded part. CONSTITUTION: In this medium, an intermediate layer 24 is formed on a platelike light-transmissive substrate 21 and the intermediate layer 24 is covered with a protective layer 25 consisting of a resin. This protective layer 25 is directly joined to the substrate 21 on the outer side of the inner or outer periphery of the intermediate layer 24. Further, a hydrophilic resin film 26 on the surface of the protective layer 25 side of which an aqueous printing ink can be fixed is formed on the surface of the protective layer 25. This hydrophilic resin film 26 is provided only in the region that is on the inner side of the periphery of the intermediate layer 24 in the plan. |
