PURPOSE:To stabilize picture quality by controlling the charging potential of a photoreceptor surface, by projecting at least one of light from a light source lightening an original, reflected light from the original and light from a quenching lamp for destaticization illumination to part of a photoreceptor surface movement path. CONSTITUTION:The 5th mirror 24 is fixed to a carriage with fixed lighting lamp 4 and the 1st mirror 5 so that radiated light from lighting lamp 4 will direct be received and reflected to the 1st mirror 5. The reflected light of the 5th mirror 24 is further reflected by the 1st mirror 5, reflected by the 2nd mirror 6, and then reflected by the 4th mirror 10 via lens 8, so that it will be projected on the surface of photoreceptor drum 11 via the slit of light quantity regulator 25. Consequently, a desired potential can be set with a relatively small number of additional elements, and consequently the picture quality is also improved. |
