PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative paper capable of being economically and stably manufactured, saved in a liquid repellent or liquid repellent ink and having an excellent surface strength, brightness and a sense of stereoscopy. SOLUTION: The decorative paper is formed by applying a design pattern 2 on a base paper having good water absorbability, then providing a liquid repellent pattern 5 of a liquid repellent ink on a surface of the pattern 2 of resin impregnated pattern paper 4 impregnated with a resin 3, coating the pattern 5 with a resin 6 to be repellent by the ink, and forming recesses 7 by repelling the resin on the pattern 5.
