PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently exhibit the effect of shortening the parallel data processing time of an operation system having multitask function by enhancing print data processing efficiency. SOLUTION: Processing time/memory use capacity of a CPU required for each processing of print data (various processing for receiving print data from a host computer, interpreting language depending on the type of print data, font processing, graphics processing, transmission processing of processed data) is allotted to each data processing (ST 4) depending on the type of print data (text data, graphics data, phorographic data, etc.) and then each data processing is carried out (ST 5) by the multitask function of an operation system.
