PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device that visibility is improved and illumination light is efficiently used in display by using an illumination device disposed on the front of a reflection liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: Related to the liquid crystal device having an illumination device disposed on the front face of a liquid crystal panel, the difference (Δx, Δy) between the chromaticity coordinate in the XYZ chart (with C-light source and 2 deg. viewing angle condition) of the illumination device and the chromaticity coordinate in the XYZ chart (with C = light source and 2 deg. viewing angle condition) of the liquid crystal panel is controlled to satisfy -0.05<=Δx<=+0.05 and -0.05<=Δy<=+0.05. |
