PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint by which leakage can be surely prevented by packing and a stop ring surely bites into a pipe, the outer surface of which is coated with hard resin to secure pull-out inhibit force. SOLUTION: This joint includes a joint main body in which a packing chamber is formed on the inner surface of the open end, an annular packing accommodated in the packing chamber, an annular retainer abutting on the axial outside surface of the packing, a push ring which is screw-engaged with the joint main body to press the packing through the retainer, and forms a first taper surface which is open opposite to the packing chamber and gradually decreased in inside diameter as it goes toward the opposite side to the opening, and a stop ring in which a second taper surface which is a ring-like body obtained by partially cutting the circumference, and inclined in the same direction as the first taper surface of the push ring to be brought into sliding contact with the first taper surface is formed on the outer periphery and a projected part which bites into the outer peripheral part of a pipe to be connected by reduction in diameter is formed on the inner periphery, and the projecting part is formed in plural places of the stop ring in the circumferential direction. |
