PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact type strain inspection apparatus which can enhance the productivity by inspecting objects to be inspected optically and continuously at a high rate without touching the object thereby preventing the production line from being jammed or stopped even when a rejectable product flows. SOLUTION: The noncontact type strain inspection apparatus comprise an inclining plane 13 for gliding a work A, a light emitting element 14 and a light receiving element 15 disposed oppositely on the opposite sides of the glide plane 13, a strain sensor 16 for detecting planarity of the work A passing on the glide plane 13 optically without touching the work A, and means 24 for passing the work A if the planarity of the work A is judged to fall within a set range, otherwise removing the work A from the glide plane 13.
