PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic electronic component having stable electrical characteristics by improving transferability from a base film onto a ceramic sheet of a metallic thin film. SOLUTION: A second resin layer 12 is formed on a first resin layer 11 on a base film 10, and a metallic thin film 13 is formed by thin film forming method on this second resin layer film 12 and this first resin layer 11. Then, a ceramic sheet 16 and the metallic thin film 13 are bonded with base films 10, 14 in all to transfer the second resin layer 12 a metallic thin film 13 thereon serving as the internal electrode 2 onto a ceramic sheet 16, thereby obtaining a ceramic sheet 16 with the metallic thin film 13. Thereafter, the ceramic sheet 16 with the metallic thin film 13 is stacked to produce a laminate and an external electrode is formed after burning.
