The plastics chassis for a shopping trolley has an base integral with the floor of the basket as far as the side opposite the handle bar (3). The bar is integral with mounting arms (2,2a) which form two sides of the basket and fixed to the base by hooks (G) which snap fit onto holes (A) in the base. Lugs (4,4A) connect the basket assembly together. A sliding grill (8) is mounted inside the base.
