PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave monitoring device that the communication state and operation of a mobile station are correctly verified by making an S/N ratio appropriate in the case of hand-over in a portable telephone. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an antenna 31 for receiving a signal from a base station, a signal receiving part 32 for fetching the signal received by the antenna 31, a pre-amplifier 33 for amplifying an output from the part 32, an RSSI measuring part 36 for measuring an electric field intensity ERB based on the signal which is amplified by the pre-amplifier 33 and the ERA arithmetic part 37 of the mobile station, which is for calculating the reception electric field intensity ERA of the mobile station 20 from a gain difference GA-GB between the antenna 21 of the mobile station 20 and the antenna 31 of the radio wave monitoring device 30, and the measured electric field intensity ERB. The S/N ratio becomes large since the signal received from the base station is amplified by the pre-amplifier 33 in a comparatively early stage and also the reception electric field intensity ERA of the mobile station 20 is calculated by the ERA arithmetic part 37 so that the communication state and operation of the mobile station 20 are correctly verified. |
