PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device that the visibility is improved in display by an illumination device disposed on the front of a reflection type liquid crystal panel and unnecessary coloring for the reflection type liquid crystal panel is reduced. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device having an illumination device disposed on the front of a liquid crystal panel is controlled so that the chromaticity coordinate (x, y) of the illumination device in an XYZ color chart (with a C-light source and the condition of 2 deg. viewing angle) satisfies the relation of 0.20<=x<=0.30 and 0.20<=y<=0.30. |
