PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying interactive processing to a video sequence in a system having a display device, an input device and a processor. SOLUTION: The method for applying interactive processing to the video sequence in the system having a display device (22), an input device and a processor (28) includes a step where a video frame is displayed in a display window, a step where the contour of the boundary of a video object is indicated in the video frame in response to a point selected by a user on the video frame, a step where the video object whose contour is indicated is segmented, and a step where the segmented video object is displayed in the display window in a mode so as to discriminate the segmented video object from the remaining part of the display window.
