PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device in which data can be canceled at once when data being recorded proves to be not required. SOLUTION: In a recording method of data in a recording device 10 recording data based on control information which is reproduced from a recording medium 11 in which data and control information for controlling record of data or reproduction are stored in a memory 14, this method comprises a recording process recording data in the recording medium 11 based on control information stored in the memory 14 by record indication of a user, the recording process comprises a canceling process canceling record of data, the canceling process stops recording data without updating control information.
