PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a light which is emitted from an LED chip by associating to complement a plurality of lenses each other. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting diode is composed of an LED chip 1, and a lens 2 which has a lens surface in combination with the outer surfaces of more than two spheres of different radii R1, R2 with different points O1, O2 as centers on a line which passes through the chip 1. For instance, the lenses 2a, 2b are associated to cross each other on the surface 2a of PH1=h1=4.8mm., R1=1.9mm. at the point T that the surface 2b of h2=4.7mm. and R2=2.00mm. to become an angle u1c=2.2 degrees. The condensing efficiency can be improved from 102 to 150 by approx. 50% in combination of the lenses of the two types. In other words, even if average luminous intensities are equal, the axial luminous intensity can be improved by 50% by employing two sets of lenses. |
