The invention relates to a method for drying particulate substances. In a first step, the particulate substance is introduced into a heat exchanger (7), together with a heat transfer medium; in a second step, the stream of material product derived from the heat exchanger (7) is fed to a vaporization device (8), in which the vapour (17) is separated and in a third step, the mixture which remains in the vaporization device (8) is fed to a decanter (13), from which the product is removed in a fourth step.
