HIGH EFFICIENCY MOTOR FOR LOW VELOCITY, HIGH VOLUME FAN AND OTHER APPLICATIONS

A high efficiency and low audio noise motor includes an armature (Figure 5) and a stator (Figure 6). The armature has an armature aspect ratio which is equal to the armature diameter (DA) divided by the armature thickness and is not less than three. The stator has a stator aspect ratio which is equal to the stator outer diameter (DO) divided by the stator thickness and is not le ss than five. The motor can be used in vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and yard blowers. Audio noise is substantially reduced with such armature and stator structure.
