PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus effective for sufficiently satisfying the important requirement in the breeding of fish comprising the constant removal of waste material from the bottom of an aquarium. SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for removing waste material from the bottom of an aquarium is placed on a wall face adjacent to the aquarium 3 and a pipe D is connected to the apparatus from the bottom of the aquarium. Waste water is ejected 13 by operating the apparatus. A suction pipe 5 is put into the aquarium, a pipe A is connected to a pipe B and the apparatus is vertically reciprocated to suck the waste material in the aquarium by the action of siphon and discharge the material into a waste water container.
