PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized and practical capsule endoscope to be assembled easily. SOLUTION: This endoscope has a main block supporting an objective lens and an illuminator, an electric element holder barrel integrally formed with the main block, a caulking projection formed at the rear end of the electric element holder barrel viewed from the objective lens side, an image sensor disposed nearest to the objective lens side for forming an image of the image of an object formed by the objective lens, an image sensor control board on which the image sensor is mounted, at least one control board on which at least an image sensor controlling electric part for controlling the image sensor and a transmitting electric part for radio-transmitting electric signals outputted from the image sensor are mounted, a spacer, a battery, and a battery compression spring. The battery and the battery compression spring are disposed between two of the control boards, and the caulking projection of the electric element holder barrel is caulked to support the electric elements immovably in the electric element holder barrel while the control boards with the elements are inserted and piled.
