PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure hardly receiving influence to a base isolation characteristic due to seasonal temperature difference, and followable even after large deformation at the time of a large earthquake. SOLUTION: This base isolation structure is composed of a compositely laminated body wherein plural hard and soft plates having rigidity and viscoelastic property respectively are alternately laminated, and the soft plates having the viscoelastic property are composed of copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (A), (B), and (C) undermentioned, (A): alkuyl (meta)acrylate having an alkyl group of the number of 2-20 carbon, (B): n-vinylacetamide, (C): a cross linking agent or cross linking monomer. |
