4-SUBSTITUTED PHENYL-5-HALOPYRIMIDINE DERIVATIVE AND HERBICIDE USING THE SAME AS EFFECTIVE INGREDIENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel compound expressing sufficient safety to important crops and having herbicidal activities. SOLUTION: This 4-substitued phenyl-5-halopyrimidine derivative is expressed by general formula (I) [Both of j and k are 0 or either one of them is 0 and the other is 1; Z is a halogen; Ar is a group expressed by general formula (Ar-1) or (Ar-2)]. Concretely, compounds expressed by formulas (II), (III), and (IV) are cited as examples.
