<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen scavenger not imparting adverse influence such that an offensive smell remains in an object to be preserved and having no possibility of the formation or ignition of hydrogen and strong absorbing capacity, by containing hydride of anthraquinones or its tautomer and an acidic substance. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen scavenger is based on hydride of anthraquinones (hereinbelow abbreviated as AQ and HAQ) or its tautomer and an acidic substance. With respect to the hydrogenated position of the skeletal of AQ in HAQ, it is necessary that at least one or more of unsaturated bonds is staturated and it is pref. that at least one or more of unsaturated bonds esepcially relating to 1, 4, 4a, 5, 8, 8a, 9, 9a, 10, 10a is saturated. As HAQ capable of being prepared especially inexpensively in an industrial scale, substituted or unsubstituted 1, 4, 4a, 9a-tetrahydroanthraquinones and substituted or unsubstituted 1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinones are pref.</p> |
