PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-fuel ratio control device for a multicylinder internal combustion engine which can control the air-fuel ratio of respective cylinder group properly for settling the output of an exhaust gas sensor provided on a main exhaust passage downstream from a catalyst device to a prescribed target value by a comparatively simple method without requiring a complicate model and algorithm. SOLUTION: It is considered that an exhaust system 17 is equal to the system for producing the output of O2 sensor 12 (exhaust gas sensor) from the composed air-fuel ratio composed the output of air-fuel ratio sensors 13, 14 per respective cylinder group 3, 4 by a mixed model shape filtering treatment. The target value of the composed air-fuel ratio is found out by an exhaust system controller 15 while making this equal system to a control object and a target air-fuel ratio KCMD with respect to respective cylinder group 3, 4 is found out from the target composed air-fuel ratio conversely. The output of respective air-fuel ratio sensors 13, 14 is feedback controlled to this target air-fuel ratio.
|
