PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing seats for motor vehicles according to the individual physical characteristics of users. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing a vehicle seat 10, which is a seat for a motor vehicle, adaptable to a user, a seat part and/or backrest of the vehicle seat comprise cushions, and the cushions are formed suitably for the user at the time of manufacturing. In this case, the physical shape of a user is recorded and processed through the use of a computer, and cushions are machined by milling a flexible-foam blank material according to the computer-processed physical shape. The cushions comprise surfaces suitable for the user and surfaces suitable for continuously produced seat structures. The cushions are preferably covered with a cover 22 suitable for the user. The cover 22 is formed of a cover material expandable in a plane according to the compute-processed physical shape. Suitable-type attachment elements are built in the cushions and cover 22 at the time of manufacturing.
