PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake system starting the supply of a current at the time different from the time requiring the supply of a current to the brake system. SOLUTION: Electric disk brakes are provided to the left and right front wheels, and electric drum brakes are provided to the left and right rear wheels. When the tread-on action of each of the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal is released and the vehicle is not under turning, an early current is supplied to the motor of the electric brake. The early current is set so that the brake shoe resists to the energizing force of the return spring and is set to the magnitude enlargingly opening to the position a proper gap is obtained between brake drums. When the pedal is trodden on, a target driving force is calculated on the basis of the tread-on stroke to operate the motor, while since the brake shoe is opened before the tread-on of the pedal, the operation delay can be reduced. A current is supplied to the motor of the electric disk brake by the tread-on of the brake pedal, and the current supplying start time to two pairs of brakes are different, so that the capacity of the battery can be reduced. |
