PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone composition curable at room temperature, and to provide a method for using the same. SOLUTION: In this silicone composition which comprises a polyorganosiloxane having hydroxyl groups, a filler-containing basis-paste, a crosslinking agent, and a catalyst comprising an organometallic compound- containing activator component, and which is curable at room temperature by condensation, the activator component additionally contains a polyether having at most one alkoxysilyl group and/or an addition polymerization product which comprises a polyether as a basis and has at most one alkoxysilyl group.
