PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying apparatus capable of solving problems such as oil-fouling in the conveying apparatus conveying a reinforced plastic molding material of SMC or the like. SOLUTION: This conveying apparatus includes a conveying body 36 with a tubular member 46 disposed between a pair of roller chains and a cut-shaped SMC1' is placed on the tubular member 46. A cover member 31 is disposed so as to prevent the cut-shaped SMC1' from being oil-fouled. The cover member 31 mainly has an upper horizontal part, a sloped part, and a lower horizontal part. Part of the horizontal part 52 of the main member 50 of the cover member 31 covers roller chains 43, 44. The sloped part of the cover member 31 covers the top surface of the end part of the tubular member 46 of the conveying body 36. The lower horizontal part is positioned close to the tubular member 46 of the conveying body 36.
